stART teams up with Lubuto Library Projects

This year we will be starting on a collaboration with Lubuto Library Projects on our Art Workshops for disadvantaged children. stART will host the workshops at Lubuto’s Garden Compound library, where the children will be taught on a specific theme and medium as well as creating a fun artwork which stART will then sell for them at 37d Gallery.

Lubuto Library is a refuge of literacy, learning, self-expression and cultural enlightenment for children left out of schools. Lubuto libraries are the one door opened to those to whom every other door is closed. Lubuto offers young people educational opportunities, fostering their intellectual and emotional development and participation in society.

stART hopes to add to this by hosting art workshops as one such activity to help open a door for these young children.
